MANAGEMENTAs per 1 April 2012, Mr. Paul van Maanen, who joined the Board of Management as Executive Vice President in 2011, has taken over the position of CEO from Mr. Gerrit Spekman. Since 1977 Van der Velden Marine Systems was managed by Gerrit Spekman. In 1992 a management buy-out took place: Gerrit Spekman and current Chief Technical Officer Mr. Edwin S. van Buren, bought the company from the inheritors with their personal holding companies. In 2007 Mr. Wiggert Pols joined the Corporate Executive Board as Chief Operations Officer. With Gerrit Spekman continuing as board member, Van der Velden Marine Systems has at present a four men strong Corporate Executive Board.
